Soft Brexit or Hard Brexit?

Those who voted in the EU Referendum were only asked if they wanted to leave or remain in the EU. Things like a soft or hard Brexit weren’t even considered in the voting booth so what does it mean for the UK?

Hard Brexit would see the UK refuse to compromise on issues like the free movement of people even if it meant leaving the single market or having to give up hopes of some kind of free trade arrangement.

In contrast, a soft Brexit could mimic Norway’s situation where Britain remains a member of the single market in exchange for accepting the free movement of people.
